The wonderful folk at Roadblock Sound System have invited us down to their End of Summer Festival at Meanwood Valley Farm on the 2nd of September to provide a Chill & Chat space for anybody who'd like to relax and unwind between performances and workshops.
Ran by our host, Bridie, you can find us set up on the benches near the check-in area with art supplies, fairly lights, blankets, and good vibes. Come along for a chat, to meet new people, or if you just fancy taking a break (there's no pressure to talk). While we are aiming for this to be a quieter zone and the space is sheltered, it is still an outdoor space, so there may be some ambient noise from the festival.
The festival will run from 4pm to 10pm and we'll be offering this chill-out space for the majority of the event (we'll let you know when the host is on a break). Look out for the 15-Minute Friendships pop-up event sign and join us whenever you feel like it. Please note that this pop-up space will operate a little bit differently from our usual events in the sense that it is a group space where people are free to come and go as they please. Everyone is welcome (you don't have to be a member of the LGBTQIA+ community) and Bridie will still be on hand to chat, but you might just make some new friends too!
There's going to be lots to do and see at the End of Summer Festival, and Meanwood Valley Farm is a beautiful place for it. Whether you want to listen to some live music, take part in some eco-conscious events, or enjoy a good, old-fashioned ceilidh, book your tickets here!
