We're excited to announce that we've booked our first pop-up event outside of Leeds! It was always our intention to host pop-ups across West Yorkshire as and when time and budget would allow, and we're thrilled to be hosting our first one at Our House in Wakefield on Saturday the 4th of November from 1pm to 4pm.
Drop-In Style Pop-Up
This will be a drop-in style pop-up, meaning all you need to do is simply show up, keep an eye out for the 15-Minute Friendships banner (you can't miss it!), and sit down when the host is free.
Due to the nature of our pop-ups, it is very rare that people are kept waiting for long periods of time. That said, if wouldn't feel comfortable coming along unless you could guarantee a specific time-slot, please email me in advanced and let me know, and I will make sure I am free during the pop-up at a time that works for you.
About Our House
Our House is an LGBTQ+ community centre in the heart of Wakefield. The alcohol-free venue boasts an on-site café, queer gift/book shop, and a large events space that hosts various community groups, workshops, and events.
Accessibility: Our House is wheelchair accessible from the front entrance and has an accessible toilet along with baby changing facilities. There is hearing aid loop support and both guide and assistance dogs are welcome.

We also want to say a big thank you to Our House for carrying out a DBS check for Bridie, our 15-Minute Friendships host, so that they can facilitate another layer of safeguarding for the project and their community. We're hoping that this DBS check will have come through before the pop-up, but if it doesn't, we're also very grateful to Lucy Brown who will be on site at all times as safeguarding lead!
