Drop-In Event at Over the Rainbow Café, York: 13th April, 12pm to 3pm | 15-Minute Friendships

Somewhere Over the Rainbow...you can join us for a 15-Minute Friendships pop-up! We're happy to announce our first-ever York-based pop-up event is happening at the Over the Rainbow Café in York on Saturday the 13th of April from 12pm to 3pm. Located above The Portal Bookshop, the Over the Rainbow Café is an amazing LGBTQIA+ space that we hope you'll love as much as we do.

If this is your first time at a 15-Minute Friendships pop-up, all you have to do is show up and sit down with the host when they're free for a casual chat. Find out more about the pop-up and the space below.

About this Event

15-Minute Friendships is a social project designed to combat loneliness within the queer community through pop-up events in and around Leeds and West Yorkshire. Simply show up and sit down with the host when they're free.

Each free-to-attend pop-up event is hosted by Bridie (30 years old, they/them), and is designed to be an informal *one-on-one chat. Come along and talk about anything you'd like, whether you've got a story to tell, want to practise your conversational skills, or simply have some time to kill. It only takes 15 minutes and there is no pressure to stay for the entire duration if you don't want to.

15-Minute Friendships is working to combat loneliness in the Leeds LGBTQIA+ community, but you don't have to be a member of this community to take part. Anyone can attend one of our pop-up events if they fancy a chat and, *if you'd feel more comfortable with a friend or support worker by your side, you are always welcome to bring them along.
